Even though the honey comes from the city, the honey has passed quality control and is as good as honey from the countryside.

On the roof of the Tallinn University of Technology's Mektory building are bees that produce approximately 30 kg of high-quality honey per year. The honey produced in the city is not at all different from the country honey, as evidenced by the analysis ordered from the water and soil research laboratory of the Estonian Environmental Research Center. According to the analyses, the honey produced by Mektory bees meets all requirements and complies with all standards. Our honey sample contains 34% rosehips, 26% willow, 16% white clover, 6% legume, 5% oak, 3% cruciferous, 2% maple and linden, and 1% horse chestnut.
